Intune iOS LOB App: Cannot Validate Integrity

Hello,
We are building an iOS app and distributing in-house via Intune.
We have a build uploaded to Intune (.ipa). The app's icon appears on the device after the management profile syncs. However, the app does not install.
Clicking on the app icon displays the message "this app cannot be installed because its integrity could not be verified"
I'm unsure if we're missing something on the Intune side or if our Apple certificates/provisioning are wrong.
Do we need to provide the provisioning profile to Intune? One of my co-workers thinks we need the Apple MDM Push Certificate..?
We have the Apple Enterprise Account ($299). I did try creating an ad-hoc provisioning profile and build, which worked fine. Still, the point of using Intune and the Enterprise Apple Dev account is to avoid enrolling devices manually for distribution.
Side note, we built the App with Expo (EAS Cli), which generates the certificates; I noticed when we set "enterpriseProvisioning" to "universal", the resulting profile type is "App Store" - is that the correct provisioning profile type for LOB apps distributed this way?

Note: Non-Microsoft link, just for the reference.However, if the issue still persists, as a test, you can manually install the app on the device to see if can be successful. If it is also failed, I think the issue is on App, you can contact Apple develop support to help on this.

Gabe 11 Reputation points2022-06-21T14:46:53.393+00:00 I am also having this issue but ours is with a Xamarin app. I have tried both iOS distribution certificate as well as the generic Apple distribution cert. I have not tried the ad-hoc method others are mentioning but this will not work with my implementation at the moment, too many users. We have our app in the App Store currently and have been unable to push via InTune everything works fine when downloading the private application from the App Store, but we cant push from InTune.

When you say "development certificate" would that be associated with a profile that requires test devices?
But it is interesting - the link you shared mentions an issue with the entitlements and I do see that the app has the entitlement 'aps-environment': 'development' and not 'production'...
Guess we have a couple things to try, and there will likely be Apple Dev Support in our future.Thank you,

2022-06-22T06:27:03.21+00:00 @Gabe , If your app is also with the same error But it can install successfully when it is installed manually. Then you can open case to look into more logs to see if there's any more finding.
