Dear all

We are getting internet browsing problem from laptop when PC hotspot on and others device get connected. FYI, others device getting everything okay but PC not able to browse. On that time PC can ping and trace everywhere but no browsing. While Hotspot turn off then able to browse.
Previously it was working fine. We have checked from multiple laptop and multiple locations. I guess recently windows update something regarding hotspot/network.

Thanks
Anwar Hossain

    Hi there,

The issue you are facing might be due to KB5014697. According to the official Microsoft Windows 11 update KB5014697 is preventing the Wi-Fi hotspot feature from working correctly on some PCs. Some systems running the update will lose internet connection when acting as a hot-spot host for other devices and this might also affect your Windows Server.

The best solution may be to uninstall the update altogether until there’s a proper fix for this issue.
Microsoft is currently working on a permanent solution but meanwhile is offering the following temporary fix: "To mitigate the issue and restore internet access on the host device, you can disable the Wi-Fi hotspot feature"

I found answer and resolved my problem.
Update I created a restore point and uninstalled Update for Microsoft Windows (KB5013887), and Security Update for Microsoft Windows (KB5014699) manually by going to settings/ windows update/ view update history/ uninstall updates and sorting by installed date and clicking each and clicking uninstall then restarting. Doing so seems to have fixed my issue. I was unable to uninstall the Servicing stack one but it did not seem to be necessary.
