Windows 11 Shared Computer

Hi,

Recently we encounter a problem with our Windows 11 computers. We experience the issue that profiles are not deleted after logoff.

Quick summery what we use;

We have 4 laptops, 2 running Windows 10 Pro, and 2 running Windows 11 Pro.

The computers are managed trough Intune/MEM.

On those 4 computers, is one policy running, and that is the Shared Devices policy from Intune.

Windows 10/11 and newer settings to manage shared devices using Intune

We configured Account Management, and the setting for delete the policy is immediately after log-out

When we run this on a Windows 10 Pro computer, its going okay. The User profile folder is being deleted, and after the next logon the user gets a blank clean profile. So far so good.

When we upgrade this machine, the profile is not being deleted. When the user logs off, and logs back on again, the files that are created are still there.

So, we tried it with a different user on the Windows 11 computer, same result.

Crosstested it with a Windows 10 computer, and the profiles are deleted.

Strange, resetted the computer, but with a fresh install of Windows 11 and tried it again. Same result, the profile was still there. It's not being deleted.

Is there someone who can point us in the right direction on how to troubleshoot this? We cannot find anything from the event manager, and the MDM logs are checked. The policy is enforced on Windows 11. So we can rule that one out :-)

The computers need local storage when used, so we cannot disable that.

Hoping someone in the community has the solution for us.

p.s. sorry for my englisch, it is not my native language.

    Hi @Lu Dai-MSFT

Thank you for your answer. We had a support ticket running with MEM, but they referred to this forum, because it was not their issue.

So do you know if there is an reference to this issue? So that we can track it?

    Thank you for your time.

After several months the issue still persists. Enrolled a new device with Windows 11 to Intune. Applied the Shared Device configuration profile to the machine. It applies with succes, but the execution on the device its self is nowhere to be found.

Has anybody an update on this, or how we can overcome this.
