I fix computers (minor little things like lock out, upgrade issues thing that the spouse shouldn’t see)…
I have a computer I have turned into a pet project…
Every week maybe longer I get into this rut of the internet slowing…
Then the errors of dns and https and I reset go about….
Eventually it goes down to no adapters, no network…
I did a clean install on the rebuild.
However today I ran the recovery tool, and it discovered an infected drive from 2 years ago. Is there a way to remove with out resetting the whole system? I don’t have usb I can’t connect to cloud services that store my stuff on.

    Hi KittenMajique-1429,

I would recommend that you run a complete scan using your anti-virus software. If that's Defender, it should find and remove/quarantine the infected driver. Once you have isolated the infected driver, you should be able to reinstall the device using device manager.

I hope this answers your question.
