Calling with Teams

Hi, I have a question regarding Teams.
The company I work at offered to switch our calling app to Teams recently. I jumped on the opportunity to try it out, but I'm having one particularly annoying problem.
When I type in the numbers, after the first 5 or 6 numbers are put in, Teams starts searching for the phone number I'm trying to make a call to.
By the time the search is done, I'm done typing my phone number completely so I press "Enter" to start the call, except it just erases the full number I typed and Teams replaces it for the first 5 or 6 numbers.

Is there a way for Teams not to search a number?

    Hi @Nicolas

By the time the search is done, I'm done typing my phone number completely so I press "Enter" to start the call, except it just erases the full number I typed and Teams replaces it for the first 5 or 6 numbers.

Do you mean when you type the full phone number in Teams search, it will replace the phone number you typed?

Yes. If you prefer to limit how people find you, you can turn off either your phone number, email, or both. To turn them off:

    • Open Microsoft Teams.
    • Select Settings and more More options button, then select Settings Settings button.
    • Select Privacy.
    • Under Manage how people can find you, select Manage contact information.
    • From here you can turn the toggle for your email or phone number on or off.

    Hi Nicolas,

Do you have the complete dialpad on your calling app? This dialpad is only available if you enabled for PSTN calling.
