SubmitGenerateReport returning xml instead of CSV

When I download the report from the userinterface, I receive a ZIP file with CSV in it, so far no issues.
https://ui.ads.microsoft.com/campaign/vnext/reports/customreports
When I download the report via API, using SubmitGenerateReport, then the zip file contains many xml files, which do not make sense and do not match with the CSV report.
