What the detailed version of Outlook are you using? Check the version via (File > Office Account > About Outlook)
Regarding this case, it is recommended you try the folloing troubleshooting:
- Make sure that you have upgrade Outlook to the latest version via (File > Office Account > Update Options > Update Now)
- Some add-ins may cause the issue, try starting Outlook in safe mode: Press Windows+R, type outlook.exe /safe in the run command.
- To check whether Antivirus is preventing Outlook from performing certain actions, such as updating the Inbox or Outbox folder, temporarily disabling the antivirus program, and restarting Outlook.
- Repairing your Office programs can resolve issues with Outlook not responding or freezing:
Quit any Office programs that are running, go to Control Panel, choose Programs and Features.
In the list of installed programs, right-click on Microsoft Office, and then choose Change.
