1) We have tried to install the MSI file, Which has the installation type as “Per User” through the AD GPO Log-on in Azure WVD Environment for Multi session users.

2) As per confirmation from Microsoft team, “Per User” installation through the AD GPO in Azure WVD Environment for Multi session users is not possible.

3) So that, we tried through "Log-on policy" through the steps followed in the attached document "ADGPO Logon.pdf"

4) Whereas the MSI is not installed in the Azure WVD users. "Product XXXXXXX installation failed." error message is displayed in Event viewer.

5) We would like to know why the MSI is not installed in Azure WVD Environment for Multi session users.

    @Test Admin

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Platform, thanks for posting your query here.

    The approach to install an MSI per user on Multi Session is not predictable and scalable as the user will be ending up on different VM's on every logon.
    You might want to look into alternate ways to deploy apps either for all users and use FSLogix App Masking or MSIX app attach.
