Threat Modeling Tool - Cannot resize shapes

In MTM 2016 or the new release I can often work on a diagram for a few minutes and then all of a sudden I cannot resize any of the shapes. I doesn't matter what shape it is or what edge I try to resize from, it just won't work. I've tried from both the 2016 and the newest release. I can still move shapes around.
If I close MTM and re-open the diagram I sometimes can resize the shapes again, but not always. Any help is appreciated.
