@demo test , Yes, your understanding is correct. Currently, salesforce is not under the app supported list managed by Intune MAM.

For the app which is not in the list, you can see if it can been integrated with the Intune SDK or wrapped by the Intune App Wrapping Tool to make it apply app protection policy:

But from the salesforce website, it says it do not support a wrapper or container app that tries to run the Salesforce App within it. So the Intune App Wrapping Tool is not a solution for this.
