Need a Hot Key to check a checkbox on a form

I have a form that I need a Hot Key to check the box of a specific field . . .not a default, but a Hot Key to check the box . . . have a lazy user.

    Tab to the checkbox, then press the Space key. The checkbox will toggle between checked and unchecked.

    Sorry . . . I've been out of town for a few days . . .

    I am aware of that function, but have a form that's large and complex . . . user prefers a hot key to toggle that field even if they are not in the field. . .
