Pros and cons of using WebDAV instead of SOAP
Based on this Microsoft article https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/using-the-fsshttpoff-registry-key-fd193fa2-9b23-4e60-8527-1bf760b2d470 We're looking for pros and cons of using WebDAV protocol instead of newer SOAP in company wide.
We have a problem with office documents that are encrypted with Sensitivity Labels (we are storing them on SharePoint Online) and Microsoft as a solution is suggesting to use fsshttpoff registry key (WebDAV protocol) (this actually works).
Does anybody is using registry key from mentioned article? Is it safe to use it on production?
We know that within this article Microsoft clearly says that this registry key should never be used as a solution but if Microsoft says that we should consider using it we would like to know what other people think about this.
