Cannot verify a zone before delegation

In the zone import/export tutorial (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/dns/dns-import-export) it says:

"Use nslookup to verify name resolution for the records. If the zone hasn't been delegated yet, you need to specify the correct Azure DNS name servers explicitly. The following sample shows how to retrieve the name server names assigned to the zone."

I have used the nslookup command with the correct DNS servers assigned to the zone and for any query, it returns:

*** UnKnown can't find www.myDomain.org: Query refused

    Hello @Richard Beyer ,

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Platform. Thank you for reaching out & hope you are doing well.

I understand that you were unable to verify a zone using nslookup before domain delegation.

I checked internally and found that you already created a support request for this issue and below is the resolution summary:

    • The support team was able to see the correct resolution for your DNS zone by specifying the Azure nameservers and nslookup was also working fine.
    • You checked on your end again and found that nslookup is broken in the interactive mode if you specify "server ns1-01.azure-dns.com" and then proceed to query.
    • It works fine if you do a single line nslookup command.
    • You also tested with dig on a Macintosh and all seem to be correct.

Kindly let us know if you need further assistance on this issue.
