Windows Server 2019 update failing with 0x8024a21e error code

Hi all,

I tried to update my system, which runs on Windows Server 2019 and I keep getting the below error

"There were some problems installing updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help: (0x8024a21e)"

I tried

  • Windows troubleshooter
  • Didn't find any problems when i ran System file checker
  • To manually reset windows update components

How can I install updates bypassing the error code!!

    Might try manual download and install.

    Hi DSPatrick,

    Your advice really worked, but when i checked for updates, it is showing
    " You're up to date
    Last checked 4/20/2022 5:30 AM"

    Can you tell me why it is displaying wrong time? Is it some kind of error or will it change after next update?
