How to monitor message during provisioning in DPS mechanism with Azure IoT Hub

Hi,

Can I use Azure IoT Explorer Preview to see the message that sent into topic name?

-$dps/registrations/res/#  
-$dps/registrations/PUT/iotdps-register/?$rid={request_id}

I've tried to use it but I got error message "Failed to retrieve device list: 404."

Can you elaborate your query bit more to understand better? Would you like to see messages sent to Azure IoT Hub?

Have you checked the below information mentioned in the Communicate with your DPS using the MQTT protocol information already?,

Assuming that the device has already subscribed to the $dps/registrations/res/# topic as indicated above, it can publish a get operationstatus message to the $dps/registrations/GET/iotdps-get-operationstatus/?$rid={request_id}&operationId={operationId} topic name. The operation ID in this message should be the value received in the RegistrationOperationStatus response message in the previous step. In the successful case, the service will respond on the $dps/registrations/res/200/?$rid={request_id} topic.

Where are you seeing this error message? Can you share the complete error or screenshot of the issue?

For a list of the IoT features supported by the latest version of the tool, see Feature list. Also, you can use a cross-platform Azure IoT Toolkit extension for Visual Studio Code to make you able to monitor the messages sent to Azure IoT Hub.

-> The mechanism that I have done is following Communicate with your DPS using the MQTT protocol mechanism.
My device can provision with DPS and connect to Azure IoT hub properly.
What I want is to monitor the message in "Request body" that sent from device to DPS during provisioning mechanism, same as the feature "Telemetry tab" in the "Azure IoT Explorer for monitoring D2C.

Where are you seeing this error message? Can you share the complete error or screenshot of the issue?
In the "Azure IoT Explorer", when I use shared access key from DPS in Azure IoT Explorer, I can connect it but cannot retrieve device.

@Mike Apologies for the delayed response. We have further verified with our team on your ask internally and got the below response.

DPS does not log or provide an API to inspect payloads. However, if you implement custom webhook, you have full access to the payload and can log it accordingly.

Please refer Use custom allocation policies with Device Provisioning Service (DPS) for more details.
