Wireless Mouse Scroll Wheel

Question

Can the wireless mouse scroll wheel be used in Microsoft Access contact sheet, I can only use it on the up & down arrows on the right hand side of the page. Whereas I was able to scroll by placing cursor anywhere on the page, has this changed and is there anyway of reverting to previous use.
