2019 Office Standard and 2021 Access LTSC side by side

Trying to install an instance of Access 2021 alongside an installation of 2019 Office standard. But when I try I get a message to uninstall the other. Can these two perpetual licenses be installed side by side? Or do they have to both be 2021 or 2019?

Thanks

Matt

    Hi, @Matt Ceniceros
Office2019 Standard Edition and Access2021 are different versions of Office products, usually, can not be installed at the same time, there is a way to try is to install Office 2019 first, and then install Access2021 (first install the lower version of the Office app, then install the higher version of the Office app).

    Thanks for your reply.

Your suggestion does not work. I've tried it both ways, older first then newer, newer than older, either way it prompts to remove the other. I understand they are different office versions, but it seems a little odd they can't coexist. I used to be able to install mixed versions back with 2010, 2013 and 2016. I can install mixed versions with Visio- but those obviously don't address this issue.

I think it might work if I installed both versions, but excluded all the apps from the Standard2021 suite in the ODT, that way the dll's for that version of office folder existed, then installed Access2021. But I've since moved on and don't have time to monkey with MS licensing oddities. I just upgraded the user (at full cost) to the newer version of standard, even though they just paid for 2019 last year.
