Automate Updates Within SharePoint

We have created a front-facing internal SharePoint site, and would like to automate the past tasks that display using the "button" web part as new tasks are added, so that 6 or so most recent past projects are listed. Is there a way to do this within SharePoint?

    Hi @apc0028 ,

    Do you want to click the button web part and then the button automatically show as a past task?

    If yes, according to my research and testing, currently there is no way to achieve it. Only can add link to the button web part.
