osd without format all disk

HI dear expert
Im new to sccm
we have issue with partitioning in osd
How to edit task sequence to find and format C volume and then apply osd to C volume without loosing data in another volume or partition ?

please let me know in detail

    Hi @ramin sa ,

    Yes, we can format only C drive and keep existing data on the D drive. Please remove the default "Format and Partition Disk" task sequence step. And in the "Apply Operating System Image" step, make the following modifications before deployment: Set the destination to a specific Disk 0 and Partition 1 (for example) to have a try.

    During OS deployment, format the C drive only
    During OSD, format first partition only

    dear SimonRenMSFT-3639
    in some system partition 1 is system reserve and in some system partition 3 in old windows file
    so we need task sequence first find partition with C:\windows file and then format that partishon and apply windows to that partition

    but i have know idea how to do that

    1,Here is a good guide to deploy OS with system reserved partition
    Deploy OS and system reserved partition

    2,We can also press F8 and use diskpart command on the client to have a try.
    Formatting only C drive using format and partition disk task sequence
