Hello Support,
I´m having an issue with a functionality of Microsoft Edge. I work with the browser against some heavy web sites. It´s contemplated that some of those access can be a little slow and sometimes I have to wait some seconds for the url to be completely loaded. That´s OK for me, it´s normal behavior. The problem is that after 10 seconds or so, Edge shows the Pop-Up "This page isn´t responding", with the options to wait or exit page. There is no real error with the page and the Pop-Up is quite confusing for me and other people working with the site. It seems that there is a problems when actually it´s a normal situation.
The main problem we have is that this situation is affecting to several colleagues and users. We are using Microsoft Edge to access a site where we launch a query to a Database. It´s quite heavy, even after we improve it and make the sentence much more efficient. When we execute it thought Edge, it´s contemplated that it will take more than 60-90 seconds to respond, depending on the system where use to access and the resources of it. We are still working on it, but "we are OK with that" as long as it load, and it eventually does. The problem is that the Pop-Up with the information "This page isn´t responding" is quite confusing for some end users, and with the options to "Wait" for something that allegedly doesnt works and "Close", the sometimes close. It happend everytime in Edge and other browser as Chrome. We don
t encounter that situation in Firefox, not because the navigation is better, but because the Pop-Up doesn´t bother us. It can be avoid and at this point, that´s what we want. But Firefox is not a Microsoft product, and we would like to be able to keep working with Edge linked to our systems.
I would like to block this Pop-Up message so the whole window is not deactivated because of it and we are not lead to think there is something wrong. If that´s not possible, I would like to change the configuration so this message appears not after 10-15 seconds, but 50-60 seconds.
Is there some configuration we could tune to make it possible ??
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide us and regards,
Jose Luis
