I am trying to create a dev test lab using "SharePoint 2019 / 2016 / 2013 with a lightweight configuration". I used this template previously with no errors. But now I am getting an error despite using the same parameters as previously. The error is:
Error code ResourceIdNotFound
Message
Not able to retrieve resource with Id /subscriptions/<sub id>/resourceGroups/<rg>/providers/Microsoft.DevTestLab/labs/<devlab>/users/<id>/.
What could be causing this?

Thank you for your replies. I tried this again today from the Azure portal and it has worked without errors.
I deployed from Azure portal last week after posting this question and got timeout errors on configuration stage. However, later when I used the VMs everything seemed fine

anonymous user the DTL template was updated 4 days ago, did the issue occur after the update?
Can you please check the deployment errors from the resource group > Deployments section (DTL activity log does not report the actual template deployment errors) ?
anonymous user I deployed the template to Azure directly from the GitHub repository and could see that the template deployment completed successfully.
However, I noticed that adding a VM choosing the SharePoint 2019 / 2016 / 2013 with a lightweight configuration public environment template as the base from within the Azure Portal results in a momentary error recorded in the Activity Log. I suppose you were also trying to deploy in the same way (selecting the template as the base from the Azure Portal). But please note that this does not fail the actual deployment either way.
As @Yvan pointed out above, please check the deployment errors from the resource group > Deployments section, as the DTL activity log does not include the actual template deployment errors.
Also, could you please confirm if you were added to the Lab recently? If so, there will need to be some time allowed for the permissions to propagate. One way to force it would be to logout and login again.
Please let us know if you still see issues with the deployment.
