EPM (SAP-BPC add-in) in Excel doesn't work if other Excel's files are already open

We faced a problem with the add-in, when there are other Excel files already open.

If an Excel file is already open, and you try to open a file generated by SAP, it will never open.
If you want to open ONLY the file generated by SAP, it works perfectly.

Can someone help me to try to fix it?

Thank you

    Hi @Vebixir94

    Welcome to Q&A forum ~

Could you please tell us which version of Office are you using?
Please go to File > Account > Product Information, check the Office version name and version number.

    > If an Excel file is already open, and you try to open a file generated by SAP, it will never open.

Under this case, is there any error message? If so, please share us for better analysis.

    • From the Office perspective, it is recommended to update Office to the latest.
    • Please back up the workbook first, go to File in Excel > click Open > Browse > select the workbook in the Open dialog box > click the arrow next to the Open button, and then click Open and Repair, repair the workbook.
    • I suggest you right-click on this workbook that generates from SAP to run as administrator after you open some workbooks.
    • Please also try to open this file in a new Excel instance.
Double click the file (as you normally do to open it) and immediately after that press and hold the Alt key. Keep holding Alt until the new instance dialog box pops up. Click Yes to confirm that you want to start a new instance

If these steps do not work, you can also repair Office from Control Panel.

As this issue may be related to SAP-BPC add-in, to help you better, it's best post a new thread on SAP Community.
