How to fix my wifi on my Laptop

Hello all,

I recently moved to a new apartment and have been getting odd Wi-Fi issues for only my laptop, everything else such as my Xbox or phone works fine, as well as my roommates’ laptops and other devices

Originally when connected to my new WiFi it worked just fine, then it just quit on me.

I can connect to the network with no internet

I have tried the following solutions:

1.) Uninstalling and reinstalling network adapters and drivers

2.) Attempted to use power shell (admin) to release and renew up address, with the both prompts being followed by “No operation can be performed on [ethernet, LAN 9, LAN 10] while it has it’s media disconnected”

3.) Running network adapter troubleshooter on all networks results in;
- “Wi-Fi” doesn’t have a valid IP configuration

4.) I factory reset my router, which briefly restored some internet functionality (I could get search results on bing)

5.) Tried a different browser (Edge) to no avail

6.) Reset the winsock catalog and TCP stack

I’m honestly baffled by this as this computer has been working fine for almost 2 years.

One note is this is a school computer and I may just try to exchange it at my universities help desk if I cannot fix this, but do not want to lose my files or reinstall all my large engineering programs

Another random note is that the day prior Kaspersky randomly uninstalled, but I still have files for it in my x86, I scanned for malware using windows defender but nothing was found

A final note is that this computer does not feature a Ethernet port, otherwise I would have tried that

Some Computer Specs:
Lenovo Thinkpad Gen 2
Intel I7-9750H
Vers. 10.0.19042 Build 19042

Any help would be greatly appreciated

The errors you quoted and given other devices have no problem sounds like the wifi adapter has internal hardware problems of some sort that hinder its ability to connect to the router. If you have the option to exchange it, then that's probably the best course of action.
