HI.

Please tell me how to log in to ubuntu from remote desktop of windows 10 with xrdp with Azure ADDS account.

In the CUI environment, ubuntu and azureadds are already communicating. But that's not possible in a GUI environment.

In the GUI environment, I can log in with a local account. However, I cannot log in with your Azure ADDS account.

Hi @good2000 • There can be 2 reasons:

If the affected user account is a cloud-only user account, make sure that the user has changed their password after you enabled Azure AD DS. This password reset causes the required credential hashes for the managed domain to be generated. To confirm it, check the value of the pwdLastSet attribute of the affected user in the AD Users and Computers console. If the value is never, that means the credential hash is not present for the user in the managed domain.

The user doesn't have rights to RDP to the target machine. Make sure, on the target user is granted the permissions to RDP to the Ubuntu box. Please check xrdp user permissions problem to grant the required permission.

I want to log in automatically without doing that.

@good2000 • The permissions have to be assigned to allow access. In the case of Windows OS, a user account needs to be added to the Remote Desktop Users group and this can be done by using Group Policy or using a script. Unfortunately, I have never done this in Ubuntu.
