Without your secret SQL, we can't tell much, but study this previous post on file attributes:
My access accdb file has in Properties / Details / Properies = Attributes = A trying to find out if that is why my SQL string does NOT stop saying

My access accdb file has in Properties / Details / Properies = Attributes = A trying to find out if that is why my SQL string does NOT stop saying field definition is bad as it works still in another dabase with same REFS

2022-07-09T22:41:01.19+00:00 Maybe my first question should be if the attributes shows ONLY A will that prevent SQL create table statement from working?
And 2nd question with that A should I get a file in use when I click on Compact and Repair Database in the ribbon.
I did find that I had two copies of the file in two different folders one in in laptop and one in an external USB hard drive.
I did use File Explorer to rename the two files with different names. well I inserted 2022 at the end of one file and a B in the other file. At the very end of file name but before the .accdb part.
I did see one copy of the file had a locking file open. sorry i did not notice the file extension. it is the one use to lock the so no one else can edit the code. I opened the file that had the locking file and closed the file and the locking file went away.
i did not include the SQL code when I noticed the issue with when trying to compact and repair the file i get the msg cannot do it now the file in use.
I did check that all files of access were closed. both on screen and using task manager.
I DO WANT TO THANK YOU FOR THE LIST OF THE ATTRIBUTES. IT IS VERY HELPFUL.
I was able to find info on how to set attributes using code but unable to find the list of what the various letters mean.
