Can any image be chosen for VM in free student account?
I had a query regarding the OS image for the student account free VM. The free plan says I have 750 hours with a B1s VM. My question is, can I choose any OS image I want for free, while having chosen B1s?
If I try to create a VM directly, the default options include Ubuntu 20.04 LTS but if I try to create through free service -> VM, I have to click on see all images to select Ubuntu 20.04.
So, does selecting Ubuntu 20.04 through free service have extra costs attached to it? Can I choose it without having to pay extra?
If I go to home -> free services, I see the following list of images for the free Linux VM. Here, Ubuntu 20.04 isn't shown in the list.
If I go to home -> all resources -> create resource -> virtual machine, I get these images for Linux. Here, Ubuntu 20.04 is shown.
My question is, does selecting a B1s through the 2nd case, i.e all resource -> create resource -> VM have extra costs even if I select B1s?
Or, if I select Ubuntu 20.04 from free service -> all images, does it have extra cost attached?
I am unsure of whether Ubuntu 20.04 requires payment or not, since the free service doesn't show it in the initial list, while normal VM shows it.
