I have a Shell Extension which changes the overlay icons for folders and files in my app folder. It is created on my own. On Windows 10 it works as expected but on Windows 11 they are not shown/set. I don't know if this is a known issue, but I hope someone can help :)

UPDATE:
After rewriting everything it works now. I have no idea what the problem was. Thank you for your help.

    Hi there,

One change I know that occurred from Windows 10 to Windows 11 was the "file archived to tape backup" overlay icon has been changed from a black clock symbol to a brown box. That particular change is within the shell32.dll file.

You can collect some logs are possible screenshots of the exact issue . If this is something with Windows 11 then please do share the log to the feedback hub.

You can raise feedback to the Microsoft team. The Feedback Hub app lets you tell Microsoft about any problems you run into https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/send-feedback-to-microsoft-with-the-feedback-hub-app-f59187f8-8739-22d6-ba93-f66612949332

Hope this resolves your Query !!
