Office Home & Student 2016 for PC. It was added to my account on December 2015.

I have it installed for my HP SpectreX2 but would now like it to be used for another new laptop I bought - so can I use it for 2 laptops with the licecsed version I bought?

Thanks.

You can only install Office Home & Student 2016 for PC on one computer (see below)

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/microsoft-365/buy/compare-all-microsoft-365-products?activetab=tab:primaryr1&rtc=1

To activate Office 2016 on a different computer you can use the following walkthrough:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/activate-office-using-the-activation-wizard-1144e0de-e849-496e-8e33-ed6fb1b34202?ui=en-us&rs=en-us&ad=us

If you are looking to avoid this in the future, I would recommend taking advantage of Microsoft 365 Personal plan. You pay a monthly subscription fee but it may be what you are looking for.

    Hi @Karthik Ramasubramaniam

    Welcome to Q&A forum ~

Office Home & Student can be installed on a single computer.
If you try to install and activate this version of Office on a different computer, please uninstall Office from the original computer first.

On the new computer, sign in to your My Account page and click Install.
After you finish installing, you may be asked to activate Office over the phone.
For more information, please refer to "Activate after reinstalling or moving Office".

If Office still can not be activated on the new machine, it's best to contact Microsoft on browser to get help.

Any issues or updates, welcome to post back.
