Automatic update settings for Windows 10

Could someone tell me about the "timing of automatic updates and restarts"?

The active time is 8:00AM-1:00AM and the timing of automatic updates for devices used for multiple digital signage devices is every two weeks.

In this case.

  1. Download and install software that needs to be updated in the past two weeks on the automatic update date I set.

E.g. 10 Sep (Anything that needed to be updated between 27 Aug-10 Sep will be downloaded & installed on 10 Sep)

  1. Restarting is automatically performed if necessary outside of the active hours after the date that I set for the automatic update date.

E.g. 11 Sep 1:00AM - 8:00AM

Is my understanding correct?

When I checked the update status on the morning of 11 Sep, I thought the reboot was already finished, but there were still a few things waiting to be rebooted and I couldn't find any logs of the reboot, so I would like to check if the update and reboot schedules are in line with the schedule above.

    Hi,

Have you set Specify deadlines for automatic updates and restarts group policy?

This GPO will occur regardless of active hours, and the user will not be able to reschedule.

You may refer to the following link for manage device restarts after updates:

Restart will be disturbed by many reasons. The current situation is that the restart is not successful within the non-active hour.
