Forms Recognizer v2.1 GA retirement plan

Forms recognizer v3.0 has been released and it has major breaking changes.. We currently use v2.1 . To prepare in advance and avoid any issues in future, I would like to know if there is any plan to retire v2.1 .. If no plans are released yet, please advise how we would be able to know when a retirement plan is released in future. Thanks

    Hello @Michael, Bibin

    Thanks fo reaching out to us again. I just got confirmation from product manager, V2.1 is a GA release and is not planned to retire in the next ~2+ years. Even it will retire after several years, Azure will still support it for 1-2 years. So please do not worry about any sudden change.

    On the other hand, please note 3.0 includes lots of new capabilities and Improved AI quality so you should consider moving to the latest but it’s up to your requirement.

    We will put official notice and send email for the retirement in the future, please let us know if you still have any questions.

    As we are using Formrecognizer vr.2 In production. Still there no plan for retirement of vr. 2 prebuilt-invoice! If there is how would we know in advance..!
