ADF - Cosmos DB linked service - using managed identity

Question

When creating a ADF linked service for cosmos db connection, I do not see a managed identity option. Only see Connection String / Azure Key Vault options to connect. Can we not connect from ADF to Cosmos db using managed identity.

Thank you for your query and using this forum.

Unfortunately there is no Cosmos DB managed identity support while connecting from Azure Data Factory.

As of today Managed identity for Data Factory benefits only the following connectors as called out here:

• Connectors including Azure Blob storage, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen1, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Synapse Analytics (formerly SQL Data Warehouse).

Here is an existing feature request suggestion regarding same requirement in ADF user voice forum. I would recommend you to please comment and/or up-vote on the below feature suggestion, which would help to increase the priority of feature implementation.
