Outlook stopped (almost stopped, get to that in a minute..) syncing and getting error 800CCC0F-0-0-940 and 800CCC0F-0-0-560.

11:13:32 1 item(s) added to offline folder
11:13:32 Error synchronizing folder

Ran SCANPST and repaied file - no change

Tried deleting the data file - no change

Set up new profile - no change

I had saved the ost file, so I can get it back later....

Each time the sync starts and maybe after 10 or 20 minutes I can get 3 or 4 emails to come in...

PC is running Winn 11 and Office H&B 2016

I tried loading on a Win 10 PC with O2019 and it seems to work fine.... getting emails

Did a quick repair of O2016 - no change, also did a online repair - no change

Now I find if I try to use the old file - all emails in the file get deleted - count goes from 20,000 down to 0

Where do we go from here?

    Hi @Gary Steele ,

    Welcome to our forum!

According to my search for the error conde"800CCC0F-0-0-940", it seems to be a IMAP sync issue.
Given this case, it is recommended you map the Root folder to inbox:
File > Account Settings > Account Settings > Change > More Settings > Advanced
    Root folder path: Inbox

Just found out that it was a rogers problem. Customer took their laptop to the office and all of the mail that got hung up and would not come in at home downloaded and is now up to date....
