Irda (infra-red) support in Windows 11

Hearing from colleagues that Windows 11 will not have continuous support for IrDA stack (Infra-red) from Windows 11. Could this be confirmed ?
And also advise the alternate path to use those IrDA (infrared) devices with Windows 11 or later releases if this news is true? Do we have support to have back compatibility settings to enable the same access on IrDA as it is in Windows 10 ( after anniversary release) ?
I am sure multiple end-users will have the similar issue and reaching out MS for support.
Appreciate the quick response on it.
