I would like to know if Windows 10 Feature updates require any special steps for upgrading (Win10 to Win10) computers connected to an 802.1x network.

In other words Does the upgrade process (including the WinPE phase) have issues with 802.1x at anytime during the upgrade process?

Also worth noting: We skip Windows SAC versions and only deploy Fall releases. So the upgrade will be a full in place upgrade not the enablement package that was introduced in 1909.

Windows 10 Setup

we use 802.1X and SCCM OSD task sequences to deploy bare metal Win7 & Win10, and also Feature Updates via Task Sequence.

For Feature Updates, we've seen no issues with 802.1X at all, doing 1709>1809. Our 802.1X is configured by domain GPO and uses the native 802.1X supplicant in Windows.
