I deleted a file by mistake but is not showing up in recycling bin, and has been over an hour.... Seems to be in some kind of abyss - I have downloaded the latest version of one drive, but nothing... network download and upload speeds are set to no limit.
When you make a change to a file that is supposed to be synced with OneDrive does it make a change?
Check which locations are being synced:
yes. But is for a shared folder that a few of us have access to, not sure if makes a difference?
Who owns the shared folder?
@Anonymous Did you delete the file using the SharePoint user interface or did you delete the file using code?

1.If you delete a file in SharePoint and it is not displayed in the site Recycle Bin, you could go to the Site Collection (Second-Stage) Recycle Bin to check whether it exists, which requires site collection administrator privileges.

2.If you are using OneDrive for Business, you also need to try going to the second stage recycle bin to check if it is there. Navigate to first stage Recycle bin, below the bottom, click the Second-stage recycle bin.
If you still don't find the file, you may be able to restore OneDrive to a previous time.

I have suddenly lost several JPG files that were in a folder. Nobody believes they deleted them and they are not in recycle bin or 2nd stage. They latest one was less than 3 weeks ago. I am Admin. This SHOULD NOT HAPPEN, using SharePoint is meant to protect from this.
