We had our Primary Domain Controller have a hardware failure during migration to our new domain controller. FSMO roles had already been migrated, but from what I can tell, full domain replication had not completed. I'm able to see the domain in ADSI editor and everything appears to be intact, but all Active Directory services fail to start. I am seeing in ADSI editor that Schema and the Directory were fully replicated, and that DNS replication was completed successfully. I am seeing in Event Viewer that KCC is throwing an error for the Directory partition. Not sure if any of this helps.

Does not sound good. If the initial replication never completed, then you'll likely need to restore from a recent backup and try the migration again.

Is that possible when only having a file-level backup? Backups were set up by our MSP that we recently parted ways with (due to crappy service) and they did not have a system state backup.
I was talking a bare metal backup.
