I have been getting emails at least since July 15th asking me to verify my account. Saying I might be signing in from a new location. I tried to see recent locations of my account but can't pull up that information. There was some random phone number associated with my account. Today I changed the phone number so it will take 30 days for that to go into effect.
The emails come from mailto:account-security-noreply@acc2t9qnrt .microsoft.com
The Review recent activity link in the email is for account.microsoft.com
When I looked at registered devices... I only see 1 listed which is a PC, however I also access my mail from a macbook and an iphone.
Any insights or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Kate

Outlook.com (hotmail) is not currently supported here on Q&A. The product group for Outlook.com actively monitors questions in dedicated forums here.

If an account access problem then also try resetting via the account recovery form
