Yes that will work without issues. aka SSRS using SQL 2019 and CM using SQL 2014.
SCCM SQL vs RP SRSS versions
So currently my site server SQL DB is 2014 and my separate reporting point is still running SQL SRSS 2012
As 2012 is out of support i have to upgrade the SRSS. Since the RP is W2012R2, instead of having to also upgrade the OS, i was going to setup a new server to do this (since i have to remove the RP anyway.)
Can i setup a new server with SRSS 2019 and will this work with the existing site SQL DB of 2014?
Will there be an issue with the version difference until i get round to upgrading the site server SQL DB to 2019?
Thanks

I can't find anything specifically in the SSRS docs that says a specific SQL Server version is required for a specific SSRS version. I do believe it should work just fine though and agree with Garth.
