MDS on Windows Container

Hi,

I tried installing MDS on Windows servercore Image (mcr.microsoft.com/windows/servercore:ltsc2019) using below command and it says "You have selected a feature that is not supported on Windows Server Core. The supported features on Windows Server Core are: Database Engine Services, SQL Server Replication, Full-Text and Semantic Extractions for Search, Analysis Services, Client Tools Connectivity, Integration Services, and SQL Client Connectivity SDK."

I would like to check if MDS can be installed on Windows images. Please note the Windows Cluster worker node OS where the container hosted is Windows Server 2019 Standard (Kernel Version 10.0.17763.1637).

Yes you can install MDS on Windows server 2012 and above. This issue occurs because the Data Quality Services (DQS) feature is not removed from the list of features that Server Core operating systems do not support.
