I would like to automatically put a set of word templates into new folders I create within a subfolder of my document library in SharePoint.

How would I go about doing this?

Microsoft 365 and Office SharePoint For business Windows

    Hi @Cameron Francis ,
According to my research and testing ,unfortunately, uploading Word template to the specified location is currently not supported. For SharePoint, Word template is managed and stored by the background unified management.

I suggest you can propose a feedback on this issue, Many features of our current products are designed and upgraded based on customers’ feedback. With requirements like this increase, the problem may well be released in the future. Thanks for your understanding.

    Thanks,
    Yanli Jiang

    Just to reiterate,

This isn't a feature using the automated workflows in SharePoint currently?

    regards,

    Hi thanks for the help,

    Answers:

    • For a work project, each time an incident is identified I create a new folder for that incident.
    • A have a set of word templates that I copy and paste into the new incident folder for reports.
    • This project is ongoing for the next 4 years, and I create about 10-20 incidents per months.
    • To save time I would like to auto populate the folder I create with the word templates on creation.
    • I've looked at power automate but couldn't find any obvious way to do this.

    hope that clarifies the requirements,
