Unable to upgrade SQL Server 2014 to SQL Server 2019

Hi all,

I'm facing an odd issue that I was unable to upgrade the current SQL Server version from 2014 to 2019. The upgrade setup was complete but the service SQL Server in Services is unavailable after I restarted the machine but SQL Server 2019 is still displayed as an installed application in Control Panel. Any ideas? What should be the next step to solve this issue? The below screenshots as your reference.

    Hi @Squeaky Rattus ,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A!
    Please check this document to see if anything is missing: Supported version and edition upgrades (SQL Server 2019).
    You can go to SQL Server Configuration Manager to restart the SQL Server service, as shown in the figure.

    Also, if the start mode of your SQL Server service is Disabled, you can modify it.
