Visual Studio Symbol Cache

Hi, I wonder whether Visual Studio assumes exclusive ownership of its symbol cache?

It's it okey if I provide the Visual Studio symbol cache to some profiler and let it load symbols from there?

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

    Looks like your question is a legal(license) related issue. Since we normally use VS symbol cache directly in VS, I’m not sure whether using VS symbol cache outside VS is permitted. I suggest you directly call 1-800-426-9400(Monday through Friday, 6:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Pacific Time) and speak to a Microsoft licensing specialist to confirm if this behavior is permitted(or you may need corresponding license) or not.
