Stop remote desktop session

I am taking the AZ-900 Fundamentals course on A Cloud Guru. I set up a remote desktop session in azure and inadvertently deleted it without first signing off and stopping the session in my Virtual Machine Manager. The profile for that RDP is now gone. How can I properly end the session without accruing charges on my credit card?
