i have been doing some "googling" on this one for a while but i keep getting conflicting information . and no success.

which group policy can i enable that will prevent all notifications for "Windows updates"

the server is running RDS so we require this to be shut off. We do not want to have Windows update popups for Any of the users.

it appears the following group policy does not apply to server 2019 or server 2022

Group Policy setting under Computer Configuration > Policies > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Update > Allow non-administrators to receive update notifications.

Windows for business | Windows Server | User experience | Other
Windows for business | Windows Client for IT Pros | User experience | Other

    Hi there,

All of the relevant policies are under the path Computer configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Update.

To manage updates with Windows Update & notifications as described in this article, you should prepare with these steps, if you haven't already:

-Create Active Directory security groups that align with the deployment rings you use to phase deployment of updates.
-Allow access to the Windows Update service.
-Download and install ADMX templates appropriate to your Windows 10 version.

I hope this information helps. If you have any questions please let me know and I will be glad to help you out.
