In Windows Server 2003 R2 please use ntbackup which is built-in. If you need a complete clone of the image I suggest a cloning software.

Hi, i have a workstation running on windows server 2003 R2 system, and I need to get a backup image from it, but I don't know how. could you please help with this issue?

If you can I recommand acronis as it can be installed inside Windows to make the image in a planned way. You could use veeam agent too, which is free for smaller business, ou would need to use a older version for 2003, but it's a tool that a lot of IT use, so it's easy to get help on.
