Was a solution ever found for installing 3rd partying apps on a windows 11 SE computer?
Installing approved apps on Windows 11 SE devices, error code 0x80070659?
Has anyone actually installed an approved 3rd party app on a Windows 11 SE device? I have read all the documents I can find in the Microsoft Learn, I have contacted four of the vendors on the approved list, and they can't prove its been done, they just point me to the pages starting with https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/education/windows/windows-11-se-overview. I can create the .intunewin files, I follow the directions, I upload and restart my computers. The apps: Chrome, NWEA and GoGuardian deploy on the Windows 10 devices BUT not the Windows 11 SE devices. The error code is "0x80070659". There has got to be some missing steps or a specific software file I need.

Microsoft replied with the following
Thank you for submitting your app request! Recently we’ve made it easier for Intune for Education admins to add and deploy apps on their Windows 11 SE devices with the Managed installer policy. This policy automatically allows apps on Windows 11 SE devices deployed using the Intune Management Extension, which eliminates the need to request a supplemental policy update by Microsoft!
With Windows 11 SE, version 22H2 with KB5019980 and later, no action is needed, admins can add apps via the Managed installer in the Microsoft Intune admin center, saving them time and making it easier to maintain the allowed apps on the list. The Managed installer policy will automatically apply to newly enrolled and existing Windows 11 SE devices.
You can view the reporting status of the policy on these devices in the Intune admin center under Endpoint security > Application control (preview) > Managed installer. Intune for Education tenants can see the status of the Managed installer policy as Active (Windows 11 SE only). Clicking into the policy, you can view Overview, Properties, and a detailed Device status pane.
Important: Apps already deployed on Windows 11 SE devices prior to the Managed installer policy being applied will need to be redeployed from Intune to be allowed to run.
