I have used Outlook as my mail service for a very long time. I have a lot of folders in my pst. I use POP3 as my incoming mail to move files off of my hosted mail service (GoDaddy in this case) which actually uses Outlook 365.
I am transitioning to all Apple products (Macbook Pro, iPhone & iPad). I have Office 2016 and I recently purchased Office 365 Family.
I loaded Office 365 for Mac on my Macbook and when I first set it up wrongly chose my default pst as the hosted Outlook 365 email pst (user@URL .com) which uses IMAP as my mail delivery. I do not want all my files hosted in my hosted 365 account.
On my PC that I am transitioning from, I am using Outlook 365 with a name.pst residing on my PC hard drive and when I launch Outlook 365 on the PC, it always loads this name.pst as the default (which is what I want).
I have loaded my default name.pst on my Macbook and I want to change the default pst on Outlook 365 for Mac from the hosted user@URL .com pst to my name.pst.
How do I do that?
PS - I deleted Office 365 from my Mac and then reinstalled Office 365 for Mac. Made sure all the Apps were updated then relaunched Office 365 expecting to then select a file on my computer rather than the user@URL .com. However, the newly installed Outlook 365 did not give me the choice (like the fist time) and automatically grabbed the hosted email user@URL .com.
