The OS disk size is determined by the marketplace image that you are using. Generally marketplace Windows images are 127/128GB and Linux are 30/32GB, there are some Windows "smalldisk" options with 32GB and 64GB options available. You cannot change the OS disk size at creation time, it will create an OS disk size that matches the image that was used.

I am building an automation pipeline to provision azure virtual machines while giving the Disk size i have used Standard SSD LRS ,size Standard D4s v3 (4 vcpus, 16 GiB memory) and provisioned both windows and linux virtual machines. for Linux it took 30 GB as disk size and for windows it took 127gb as disk size.
is there any change i need to do in the SKU with respect to the vm or it is same if yes then why it took different sizes in both the machines?
