SCCM primary site and desaster situation

Hi,

I have SCCM as primary site or standalone

If the server is down or cannot reboot any more, I can restore it or restore my backup.
Is the secondary site for disaster situation a alternative?

What is the best praxis?

Yes you can store you back up. Keep min mind depending on the back, extra steps are needed. I ALSO recommend that you open a support case with CSS when you do a store.
No a Secondary site is NOT for disaster. However you can setup MS as High availability and if done right can help in this situation.
