Using SharePoint Page Sources for Custom Question Answering

Hi,

For Custom Question Answering, adding SharePoint pages as a URL source provides an error:

"Unsupported/Invalid URL(s): https://URL_HERE.aspx"

Are there any ways to have SharePoint pages as sources for the Custom Question Answering KB? If not, what are the details behind the sources that are supported, vs the ones that arent?

@Jackie I can confirm custom question answering supports adding sharepoint KBs similar to the ones listed with QnAMaker. You can try to add the same supported formats and check if it works. Thanks!!

@Jackie QnAMaker supports adding sharepoint pages of the following format:

Cloud-based SharePoint - QnA Maker uses Microsoft Graph for permissions. If your SharePoint is on-premises, you won't be able to extract from SharePoint because Microsoft Graph won't be able to determine permissions.
URL format - QnA Maker only supports SharePoint urls which are generated for sharing and are of format https://*.sharepoint.com

However, I do not see similar page for custom question answering resources though. I think the similar format should hold good; I will reach out internally to check if this is still valid. Thanks!!

Thanks for looking into this.

For anyone else asking this question, the connection currently behaves similar to QnAMaker:

Share links to structured files such as Excel, PDFs and Docs seem to work. The files are added to the Question Answering as a file, meaning it cannot be refreshed and seems to behave the same as if you downloaded the file and uploaded it to Question Answering. I did notice that unstructured files don't get added as a source with this method, it didn't give an error for me when I did it, so double check the file structure if you experience this.

SharePoint pages and Lists give the Unsupported/Invalid URL error and I haven't been able to get those connected. A not so ideal option is to print the pages as a pdf for a one off upload that cannot be refreshed easily.

Confirmed, i have the same issue. Can't add a sharepoint WIKI page as a source...
